tmi!

I FINALLY bought myself some new bras. It's been awhile, and I barely remembered what it was like to have comfortable boobs! This is very important.

I got new shoes too. My shopping needs are hopefully complete for the next six months or so.

I will be going to Chicago/Madison for spring break, March 12-19th. If you are in either of these cities please inform me immediately so that I can see you. March 17th, Friday, St Patrick's Day (one of my favorite holidays) I will be in one of America's most Irish cities, drunk as a skunk. And I'm not even a bit Irish! hehe!

Seen today on the web: (picture of President Bush) "Will someone just give this man a blow job so we can impeach him already?"

my new friend

Two weeks ago my good, faithful car, the Elephant Dynamite (a sassy beige Ford Contour) broke down on my way home from Dallas. On Saturday I said goodbye to this car o' mine- travel companion on trips various including Wisconsin, California, Michigan and Texas. It did a good job, and it's not its fault it was made with shoddy American car manufacturing.

But my mom was in town, so she helped me find a new set of wheels. Meet my wee little car, the Zip, the Vroom, the various other names that have not yet stuck:

Pretty sweet! For the price of a used Honda Civic, too- and the dealer took ED (for a $1000! can you believe it!) from me to give to a new good home. The Scion is awesome in so many ways, plus I get to be one of the few on the road with such a cool car. Great sound system, excellent handling, pretty, and sexy to boot. Now I just need a name- your suggestions?

(Chris: It's not pink, but I didn't have much choice in that matter. However, I did program the stereo to say "Cheers, Fuckface!" whenever I turn the car on. :)

good thing i don't have to pass any crazy juries this semester

Because I have had waaaay too little time to practice. Last week the musical I was hired to do took up all my evenings and a good chuck of my weekend, and this week between academic stuff and doing research on new and used cars, plus playing in the Syndicate with the Four (tonight! 10:30), plus my mom coming to visit and teaching both Monday and Friday...well, arrrrgh. Jan wants me to play in dept on March 1st already. Just the first movement of the Larsson, which should be no sweat, but still.

I did get to write a fun little paper on the Beatles' "A Day in the Life" for Intro to Music Research. I like that class, because I think I could be quite good at musicology if I had the time.

New car: Honda Civic or Scion xA? I like the Scions but I ain't turning down a Civic. Saturday is the day of truth.

I met some fun people last Saturday. I hope to hang out with them again!

It is February. I am staying on my best behavior and hoping that things don't crash down around me like they usually do this time of year. One year ago I saw Ani in concert, but also got (sort of) dumped, played terribly at my UM audition and was lonely to boot. March brought beer and good times. Here's to March!

My mommy's here in two days!
